I have exciting news to share with you this morning! Today, the Washington Post editorial board announced their endorsement in the First District Congressional race, writing: "Mr. Kratovil is an independent-minded moderate whom Mr. Gilchrest crossed party lines to endorse. Voters should elect Mr. Kratovil, a thoughtful candidate who will continue Mr. Gilchrest's practice of rejecting politics-as-usual." Keep in mind, this is the same paper that endorsed Bob Ehrlich in 2006.

The Post endorsement continues the surge of momentum we've seen in recent weeks. We outraised Andy Harris in the 3rd quarter and we've even built a razor-thin lead over him in the latest polls. But in an election this close, we can't let up. I need your help today so that we can keep up our presence on the airwaves and be communicating our message to voters. In a race this close, any amount you can give - even $25 or $50 - will really make a big difference. The Washington Post editorial also highlights the dishonest attacks that Andy Harris is running against me, calling them "deceitful". Andy Harris continues to run an attack ad that accuses me of making a statement about the financial crisis that he knows for a fact I did not say. Even the newspaper he cites in his ad has publicly renounced the attack as "inaccurate", and yet a week later he continues to run the ad.

Tactics like that make it clear that Andy Harris will say or do anything to get elected. The only way to fight back against Andy Harris' lies is with the truth, and that means having the resources to bring our message directly to the voters over the airwaves.
